Iron City Festival 2026

Blacksburg grew around the railroad and the discovery of rich iron ore deposits in the late 1800s. The rush brought new energy and opportunity to the community, earning the town its enduring nickname: Iron City.

Since 2006, the annual Iron City Festival has brought downtown Blacksburg to life with a family-friendly street fair, vendors, food, shopping, live entertainment, and hometown fellowship.
